The Museum of Olympic glory was established By resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 284 of 14 August 1996. The Museum of Olympic glory of Uzbekistan plays an important role in promoting values of Olympism and the principles of "fair play" in informing the General public about the outstanding achievements of athletes of Uzbekistan and the history of the development of the Olympic movement in Uzbekistan. To this end, the Museum regularly organizes exhibitions and thematic expositions illustrating the victories of domestic athletes at the Olympic games and other major international competitions. The main Fund Of the Museum of Olympic glory of Uzbekistan has more than 2,000 exhibits, more than 1,000 of them are on permanent display. The Museum exhibits a large number of rare medals, cups, torches, stamps, paintings, sports equipment and clothing.
